Bentley Mulsanne Key Celebrates Its Centenary

Mulliner, Bentley's custom coachbuilding unit, has created a unique keycase to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Bentley brand. Made from Dark Stained Walnut and Piano Black veneer, it includes a flying "B" paperweight, a set keys, and a brochure with never-before-seen 1930 8 Litre images.

It's the perfect present to greet a new owner of their luxurious car.

Aesthetics

Bentley is a company who takes its aesthetics seriously. This is evident in the precise placement of its quilting as well as the use of leather derived from products of cattle and sustainable-managed forests, and the unique patterns of its levers. A car like the Continental GT W12 beckons as you take it in, displaying its sculptural beauty and power through carefully curated lighting.

The Continental GT is Bentley's most sophisticated open-top car. Its rear tonneau, for instance, featured the largest piece of book-matched, dark-stained Burr Walnut veneer ever applied to the production Bentley. Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this unique design, quality and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the world's most sought-after car brand. The company continues to push the boundaries with the latest technology and hand-crafted products. This includes the introduction of an electronic tilt-opening rear window sunroof as well as a hand-crafted Apple iPad docking station.

A century since its founding, Bentley - now under sole Volkswagen ownership after years of fighting with BMW - celebrated its centenary in the year 2019. Prior to  bentley key fob  taking center stage, the marque held a series of special events and launches planned to celebrate this milestone event.

Design

Bentley is known as a luxury car maker that produces lavish and extravagant cars. However, even keys stand out. The Bentayga key is made of sterling silver and has a large 'B' logo which lets everyone know that you're driving a Bentley. The key is also inscribed with the dates 1919 and 2019 to mark the company’s centenary.

The Mulsanne was redesigned and improved by Bentley Mulliner in order to be the ultimate Grand Touring car. The rear seats were designed to give passengers the most comfortable and private experience. They were inspired by the luxury private aircraft. The custom heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system was developed to give every passenger the perfect climate control setting.

In addition to a set of stylishly executed styling changes as well as a suite of stylishly executed styling revisions, the Mulsanne is powered by a twin-turbocharged 6.75-litre W12 engine capable of producing 560bhp as well as 479lbft of torque. This amazing power is coupled with a new suspension that offers Bentley's signature smooth ride.

Bentley has announced a special specification for cars manufactured after 2019 to commemorate its centenary. This is referred to as the Centenary Specification. The cabin has cross-stitching, and contrast stitching in Centenary Gold throughout. The Bentley Wings are embroidered with Centenary Gold on the headrests as well as the seats and other parts of the car. This is a great way to celebrate the occasion.  bentley key  is also included in the Centenary Specification, making the Bentley experience all-inclusive.

Function

The Bentley Mulsanne Key features two buttons that open the trunk, and the other that starts the vehicle. The key also comes with a switch that allows you to turn on the parking brake. There is a knob that can fold and unfold the mirrors when parked in tight areas. This feature helps you get into and out of your car.

Each key takes two days to create. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, sewed, sealed, and then polished to create a high-end result. It is lightweight and durable and matches the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is akin to the Volkswagen Phaeton large car's key however, it feels heavier and has a luxurious feel.

It also comes with Secure-A-Key which can help prevent theft of keys with no key.  bentley car keys  is inserted into the remote control fob, and disables it if the key is not used for a few minutes. It stops thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices which can unlock and start the car.

Bentley's distinctive design reflects the values of the company that include fine craftsmanship engineering expertise, as well as modern technology. Its headquarters in Crewe are home to over 4000 employees who are responsible for the design, development and production of Bentley vehicles. They employ skills that have been handed through generations and apply them to cutting-edge technology in the automotive industry. This is the characteristic of British manufacturing at its best.

Personalisation

Bentley's Mulliner division allows customers to design their own car. The guests sit at a collection of images, referred to "mood stations" and choose a selection of photos - from scenic vistas to sporting events - that inspire them to design their own. As each selection is made, a pattern will emerge, which reveals the model and color preferences for the customized Bentley.

The resulting configuration is saved to individual R.F.I.D.-enabled keys that are then presented to guests in a custom key case. The keys can be equipped with Bentley Muliner Personalised welcome lamps that illuminate the path of the entrance door, and display the owner's logo or name as they approach the vehicle.

Bentley estimates that it requires 500 man-hours to construct and assemble the Mulsanne. The reluctance to embrace modern technology is the main factor to this laborious task. Instead of using a machine to place the perfectly matched leather seats, workers at the Crewe factory do it by hand. And rather than using the car's built-in sensors guide it to perpendicular and parallel parking spaces the drivers must do it manually.

Bentley displayed its Mulliner personalization capabilities with a special Mulsanne W.O. Edition, that pays tribute to founder William Osler Bentley. The Mulsanne W.O. Edition pays homage to founder William Osler Bentley. The 100 limited edition cars include a key that displays a piece of the 1930 8 Litre crankshaft.
